Patrolling Day One

I am back from another fruitful and blessed trip to Israel.

I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me a Heart for Israel and the Jewish people. If I could have sat and thought for 100 years 7 days a week how I could serve God, this would have never came to my mind or heart. Loving and serving Israel and the Jewish people and the Lord opening the doors to the Israeli Army (IDF). I know that it is only because of God and for God that He has given me this heart and opportunity to serve Him in this manner. To the Praise and Glory of His name! The Lord is using this Love and passion (calling) for me to be able to share the gospel.

I can tell you I love the men and woman of the IDF (Israel Defense Force). They are an incredible group of men and women who serve professionally and honorably and who fight every single day for the existence of Israel, for its freedom, for their families, for all Israeli citizens and for the world. Yes, for the world. They fight every day to help keep the world safer. And what is sad is that the world is against them and yet they keep fighting and contribute a great deal to the security of the nations of the world.

I love them and support them, and I am grateful for their sacrifice and unyielding commitment to freedom and helping preserve freedom to the nations of the world. They do not do it for recognition they do it because it is the right thing to do and that is who they are.

In the video below I was traveling with the Israeli Army (IDF) inside Israel and visiting different areas in the north on the Israeli Lebanon boarder and making sure that that the security and safety of Israel and the IDF soldiers were good. The threats they face come from rocket attacks coming from Lebanon and from Syria as well as from Gaza. They face incursions into Israel from terrorist to kill Israeli citizens and members of the IDF. The threats surround Israel. The IDF soldiers are on a war footing every day and are ready to respond to any attack. In the video you will see the ground around us scorched because of rockets being fired into Israel from Lebanon by Hezbollah.

During some point in the day as usual we stopped for coffee. This was a beautiful area. It was cool and quiet. We found a nice shade tree to sit under and we were just relaxing and enjoying the cool air and being out of the vehicle. Where we were most of the day was in very rough terrain and the bouncing around in the vehicle all day wears on the body.

A young soldier who is also the medic, communications person and an additional driver was also in charge of making the coffee that day. He was new at making coffee and it tasted like it. But it was coffee and he made it, so we drank it. We were in two small squads and two vehicles. Thus, you are seeing in the video the other vehicle in front of us. As we were waiting on the coffee to be made, we were just small talking and the Lord gave me an opportunity for me to be able to share my testimony and the heart that the Lord gave me for Israel and the Jewish people and a love for all those who serve in the IDF. And then I was able to share the good news of Yeshua to the whole group.

Romans 10:17 “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God” Being in that setting with them in that area I was thinking how the Lord Jesus would be in areas such as this just sitting and talking and sharing the truth to the people He was just sitting around with. I am truly blessed to be able to be used by the Lord in this way to share the Truth and Life with them.

Please pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and for all Israeli Citizens and especially for the Men and Woman of the IDF.

As I am writing this Romans 9: 4-5 has come to my mind.

“They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever Amen”.

The Whole World is truly blessed by and through Israel and the Jewish people and as the Apostle Paul says in Romans 15:27 "For if the Gentiles have shared in their (the Jews) spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things.
